GoDaddy is our recommended Web hosting and domain provider. They provide the BEST customer service out there with nearly zero downtime. Leah has used GoDaddy as her personal and her clients’ host for over 15 years. Here’s how to get started.

Things to know before we dive into plans:

I recommend you purchase a custom domain and Web hosting with SSL.

Custom domain – A domain is your Internet address. If at all possible, you want to have a .com, but you can buy additional domain extensions as well (.org, .net, .book). This doesn’t mean you need to develop many Web sites. You can simply forward other domains to the .com.

Web hosting – Your space on the Internet. A web hosting service is a type of Internet hosting service that allows individuals and organizations to make their website accessible via the World Wide Web.

SSL – Secure Sockets Layer, Websites need SSL certificates to keep user data secure, verify ownership of the website, prevent attackers from creating a fake version of the site, and convey trust to users.

GoDaddy WordPress Hosting

GoDaddy has something called WordPress Hosting. It includes SSL and the ability upload plugins, like WooCommerce for a shopping cart. The cost is $83 for the first 36 months- $250 total (8/31/21), which I recommend.

  1. To get started, select the Basic Hosting from this page and select your term length.
  2. You get a free domain! So, search for the domain you’d like to purchase.
  3. You also get free SSL with this package.
  4. Create an account as you check out so that we can log back in later to manage your account.

That is all there is to it. Once you check out, you can share your GoDaddy login credentials with us to assist you in developing your site, or you are welcome to create a WordPress admin account for us to log in (click here for directions). Let us know if you need any help and good luck!
